Step 1:Install new o-ring.
Step 2:Place retaining ring into install tool recess.
Step 3:Insert anvil into retaining ring at a 45°.
Step 4:Push and bring the anvil perpendicular.
Specifically designed to fit Milwaukee type 3/8" cordless impact wrench.
Does not fit DeWalt or other cordless tools.

Goes on no problem but doesn't retain sockets like the factory clip, sometimes have to force the socket on and it ended up coming off again shortly after

The rings are slightly too wide to fit down in the channel on the anvil. Of the two I tried to replace, I had to file each one down. Unless you get it perfect, they won't compress properly and your sockets will either be too hard to get on, or won't hold at all. The o rings are poor quality. I've always had to cut the Milwaukee ones off. I broke two supplied in this kit because the new friction ring pinched it while going on. For as cheap as they are, just buy a better quality brand.
