This little notepad is perfect for my shirt-pocket pad I carry around with the day's notes & shopping lists, etc. The waterproof paper means there no problem consulting the pad, or writing on it, when out and about. It really does work! I think the only thing that will run when exposed to water is ink from a gel pen. The vertical dotted lines are not problem at all; they'd be useful for those who need precision for notes or diagrams. I still write on the horizontal solid lines without any distraction.

Works great, ink doesn’t smear, and it’s a great fit in my pocket. I work in EMS so with the inclement weather at times this notebook is a must.

In early evaluation, these appear to work a treat. I tested by holding a page under the faucet and then writing on it with a normal cheap give-away ballpoint pen while there was a standing puddle on the page. I was able to write just fine and then I was unable to smear or rub off the writing. The page seemed to dry out really quickly as opposed to turning to a wrinkled gooey mess like a normal reporter's notebook does.There are the normal horizontal rules on the page, plus sort of faint broken vertical lines. That's great IMHO, because you have a grid if you need to sketch something, but for writing, you only really see the horizontal lines. (Gregg ruling, I think they call the horizontal ones.) Another reviewer opined that the grid feature was meant for the military, for calling in artillery strikes of something. Not probably going to have to do that, but the unusual ruling seems handy for normal life stuff.
