Gasket is a good density foam and soft like neoprene; the adhesive is very tacky, so thete is no do-over without tearing.The inner cutout portion comes with the positive piece of foam as well, so you can use it for other projects.

Installed in a couple minutes. Fixed the leak. Glad it wasn’t the rear window seal.

Top view of seal on the lens (blue residue is my earlier attempt to "fix" old seal with silicone gasket material). Perfect fit, good instructions, shipped in protective cardboard. Exactly what I needed to replace old, leaking seal. Haven't tested in car wash, but seems to be fine. If it leaks, it will probably be my fault for not cleaning the cab surface better. Not the seals fault.

this product is very poor fitting, I never complained but I was purusing something else in my account and this page came up, it did not fit well worse the OEM, ended up using silicone to ensure sealing the very thing I was trying to avoid

I ordered this due to the reviews that the gasket that comes with the Third Brake Light I ordered, leaked. It's mounted and it does not leak. Maybe some of these people don't know how to install things properly. So, I have an extra for whenever, if ever it leaks or, may give it to someone lese that might need one.

2007 Chevy Colorado. I had to trim a little from the inside of each end in order to remove excess material that rested over the two plastic standoff's on each end of the light housing (I believe those allow the upper mount/brake light to rest a specific distance from the cab and not compress the gasket too tightly). It was also a shade too short but I could stretch it just enough to make do. Ultimately I'll know if it sealed the housing against the cab after the first good rain, and I suspect it will. Would I buy one again when this one wears out in a few years; sure.
