Standard lathe faceplate that fits the arbor on the Shopsmith Mark V. It works well but does require re-tightening of the set screw during operation periodically.

I have three small metal lathes. This one mounted onto a Chinese mini lathe. I use faceplates more often than most people and my lathe never came with one. While this is meant for a wood lathe, it is more than strong enough for a mini lathe.If you want to mount this onto a mini lathe, you will need to make an adaptor to suit it. It's not hard to do and can be treated as a small lathe project that anyone with a lathe likes doing!A little taper cutting and turning, and you have a fine addition to a small mini lathe in the form of a solid steel faceplate.Highly recommended if you need or use faceplates and know how to cut tapers.

Beautifully made and solid as a rock, these parts will certainly stand the test of time. Everything fits perfect and holds pieces rock solid as they turn.I’ll definitely look for this brand for future parts. The three items I’ve ordered so far have been flawless. Great value for what you get.

This face plate is solid and has a great finish. It fits perfectly the headstock of my Shopsmith Mark V. The plate attaches firmly and is square so that there is no wobble. The screw holds are countersunk making is easer to attach and use with your blanks. I have a larger face plate that works fine but this one is smaller and allows shaping closer to the end for smaller work pieces. High quality construction and professional appearance. It comes with a thin coat of oil which show me that the manufacturer takes pride in their work.
