They're PRETTY! And yes they're safely pins. But they're large. I wore one to keep my poncho from flying open. Best investment ever made. They're thick & sturdy and come in a variety of colors--red beads, black beads, clear,blue, yellow-orange, and they all have a circle of rhinestones in between each bead. Each holds a lot of material together. They're strong & durable, easy to use. Everyone needs a safety pin now & then. Why not showcase it! You won't be sorry! Great for the price, too! Bought these for a quick fix / tighten a fancy dress. Did the job well and saved me expensive adjustments.Just gather fabric at back of dress and pin.The blue pin matched the dress very close in colour.

I like the idea of these pins, but they leave holes in your clothing. Additionally they are pointy, but still very difficult to get through the fabric.
