Verwendet man zwei stark unterschiedliche Solarmodule in Reihe oder ist eines von mehreren Modulen verschattet, kann es dazu kommen, dass der erzeugte Strom vom schwächeren oder verschatteten Modul "verbraucht" wird anstatt an den Gleichrichter zu gelangen. Genau dieses Problem wird durch diese Schutzstecker verhindert.Wie funktioniert das? Im Stecker ist eine Schottky-Diode (10SQ045) verbaut, die den Strom nur in eine Richtung durchlässt und in die andere Richtung sperrt. In einer Wasserleitung würde man so etwas ein Rückschlagventil nennen. Leider ist das Ganze auch in Durchlassrichtung nicht ganz verlustfrei, denn so eine Diode "verbraucht" selber etwa 0,14 - 0,3 V.Schottky-Dioden haben gegenüber "normalen" Dioden neben der niedrigeren Durchlassspannung (0,3 statt 0,6V) den Vorteil, dass sie mit einer Schaltzeit von 0,1 ns sehr schnell auf Spannungsänderungen reagieren und damit deutlich schnellere Schaltvorgänge ermöglichen.Die Adapter sind mit MC4-Verbindern ausgestattet und verschraubt. Die Verschraubungen sind mit Gummidichtungen abgedichtet. Die Verarbeitung ist einwandfrei. Ich habe an den Adaptern nichts auszusetzen.Abschließend möchte ich darauf hinweisen, dass ich die Adapter im Rahmen eines Amazon Testprogramms kostenlos testen durfte. Dieser Umstand hat aber keine Auswirkung auf meine Bewertung und es hat auch niemand versucht auf mich oder meine Rezension Einfluss zu nehmen. Vielen Dank für' s Lesen.

The description says it has a fuse and diode. The diode is a Schottky Rectifier (10SQ045) but there is no fuse found. The photo shows what the item contains.

did not have any events to test it in adverse conditions. during normal operation it works fine. used it to connect 3 panels. Hope I remember where the extras are :-).

These connectors are excellent for solar panel setups. Their waterproof and anti-backflow features add an extra layer of reliability. The built-in diode and inline fuse are thoughtful additions for safety.
