This is a deflector cable for my Poulan Pro (Husqvarna) snowblower that adjusts the snow to be thrown upwards or downwards. This is the third deflector Cable I have purchased in about 4 years (All had the same problem, snow gets in the inner cable via the rubber accordion cover and freezes and rusts and stops working, every year). Main problem with this NON-OEM cable are the following: one of the ends that connects to the handle that controls the cable comes with a straight pin and a "C" clip (OEM Is a 90-90-90 see photo 3), try to connect this and put on the "C" clip without it flying somewhere (unless you dismantle the handle mechanism), OEM is a type of "S" with no "C" clip and you just twist it in the small handle hole for it (easy Peasy); Other end of the cable that attaches to the movable deflector comes with an accordion type rubber cable cover to protect the inner cable from the elements (water, snow). Well that rubber cover is supposed to be tight fitting at both ends, however, it is not (See photos 4,5,6). One end of this rubber cover is a larger diameter than the cast "O" ring that attaches to the deflector mechanism to control its movement, so snow and water does get in and it will freeze and rust and stop working every time, every year. If you look at the OEM supplied photo (1 and 2) you will see that the "O" ring connector is larger diameter and longer and the rubber cover is a bit smaller diameter and it fits snuggly and no water nor snow will get in. I would NOT RECOMMEND this cable as a replacement as it takes longer to attach it than the OEM and mainly because the rubber cover is POORLY manufactured for the purpose it is intended for.

I was glad to see Amazon had this item.Arrived the next dayPerfect fit for my 2008 Craftsman blower.10 to 15 minute job.Ive only used it a couple of times since installation but I dont see why it wont stand the test of time
