Having a pre-spun spool is very convenient when your string runs out for weed whackers. The string is sturdy, eats up the weeds, and auto spools a good amount of string. The only downside is that there is a slight click when releasing the trigger on the black and decker weed whacker, but this does not affect its usability.

These spools fit my Black and Decker string trimmer perfectly. Installation was quick and easy, and they locked right into place without any issues. My weed wacker is unfortunately showing it's age. The base cap was getting very warn and the string spool has been re-used for so long that the plastic track on the base is damaged. I saw this set pop up in my feed and I can't deny, I was inexplicably excited to test it out! My biggest concern with a kit like this, being a third party replacement for a specific brand item, is whether or not it will match the original parts with enough accuracy to work properly. I can say without a doubt, that this kit works perfectly on my Black and Decker weed wacker. It's given it new life! The base cap fits perfect and the spools work just as good as the original. I appreciate that there are 6 pre-wound spools. (Though manually winding spools is not a big deal.)Not much else to say. It all works well. You get a new base cap and spring as well, and all at a fraction of the cost of buying the brand name replacements. Worthy of consideration.

I know that I could have wound a spool by myself but this quick and cheap alternative has allowed me to continue a project when the cord is ended and provided me with additional spools that i can wind at my leisure. Will I do so? As a standard backyard gardener, it makes sense for me to do this cheap replacement process. The additional covers are also handy. The stools are easy to change, resilient enough to last with possibly a chance for personal rewind at a later date. Good product!

I have a black and decker which is a good one but their string is very expensive. This company has a better quality string and it works well.

I’ve ordered the name brand for the string replacement, and they work well. This brand works equally well at a fraction of the cost. This brand is easer to use because of the way the end of the string is secured. The other brand I’ve ordered used packing tape which was difficult to remove and caused the string to unwind when the tape was removed. I also received a bonus part that holds the string in place.Highly recommend
