The post that the moveable piece pivots on sticks out at one end of the device and the tip is not polished so it can catch on clothing material and cause fraying. Also, the other end of the piece that pivots is saw toothed at the end to mate with the main piece to secure closure. I found that when closed and the two do not mesh and one edge protrudes slightly, the exposed “tooth” is also sharp enough to damage clothing. Sorry to be so negative, but I am disappointed because I thought this product would serve a purpose, but I will either Jerry-rig these pieces or look for something else.They function fine if you are attaching to clothing and small cuts don’t bother you.
