The Ryobi 310917001 Spool W/Line is the part of the trimmer that rotates at a high rate of speed and releases the line that is used for trimming.
The Spool is inserted into the spool housing and is held in place by the 522994001 spool cap.
To remove the Spool Cap press on the two tabs that lock it into the string head.
Warm Tips:
*Strong centrifugal force offer line cutting fast, protective measures should be taken to avoid unnecessary injury.
*Only suitable for tender weed grass,strong weeds will been recommended to use blades to trim.

There’s 11 feet per spool and there’s 6 spools so that seems pretty good.I didn’t have much trouble loading the spool. I used it for probably 15 minutes so far and in some weeds that were fairly thick stemmed that I probably shouldn’t have used it on. The line broke a couple of times and I had to put the line back through the hole in the spool once. Overall it seems to be working well so I have no complaints. I would recommend this product.

Very economical! Hardware stores are too expensive and you only get one or two in a pack! Fit my Ryobi like a charm! I have a One+

It works and is a lot cheaper compared to the branded product. It is a consumable item and should not cost an arm and a leg. I already paid a lot for the edge trimmer including the battery.
