Seems like a decent product, we shall see, but everything Digital from accusize seems to come with a dead battery, so don't expect to get to use it right away.

very dissapointed that the battery was dead on a brand new set of micrometers i had to go out and purchase a new battery to make sure they even worked i would have given 5 stars if it werent for the battery issue costing me gas time and even more money im out of

Trying to figure out why it's Notchy. Moved the Spindle as far open as it goes. Bunch of metal shavings inside it. Disappointing, have bought a few Accusize micrometers in the past without issues. Quality seems to have dropped massively. Also the Spindle lock sticks/notchy

Carbide end tip was not cut straight thereby causing up to a 4 to 5 thousandth of inch error.

My unit had dirt in the spindle and would stick and jam in and around the 2" mark, so i sent it back back. I would and may buy another as i think it's a good unit and good value for the money, i'm glad amazon takes returns and covers any quality control issues i may have. The calibration piece was bang on tho as i cross checked it with a caliper and mic i have so i knew 0 was 0. Out at 2.5" it compared within a couple ten thou of my old skool 2-3" vernier micrometer measuring on a chevy crank. I found it to be very touchy and required a very light touch or it would measure undersize, i never even used the ratchet at the end, just touch down and with a very light drag took my reading.I think with a little practice and a light touch this unit is very accurate. The plastic insulation piece on the C-frame is kinda chincy and a thicker piece would have made me more confident that the heat from my hand wasn't throwing off the readings. The readout was nice and easy to read. i thought it strange that at 2" i reads all zeros there is no 2 in the first digit (if you go just under 2 it reads a minus number not 1.9999 etc) and maybe i hadn't figured that out yet but it reads from 0.0000" at the calibration point. shows a 2 in the picture as advertised tho ?I Like that the thimble is all metal and not plastic like some other units out there. The battery was half dead but i didn't care about that its probably because of the auto power on feature being activated during transport. Fresh batt good to go!

Very good price and quality. I have been using this tool for case base measurements in my reloading for about a year now. So far so good

Well made and precise. Right out of the box it was bang-on when tested on flat feeler gauges. Always a good idea to practice with a known constant like a feeler gauge, to get the feel for the right speed to turn the ratchet knob. Very pleased with this micrometer.

Works fine now. The battery came dead and after letting the supplier know they has refunded the cost of the new battery I had to purchase myself. Thanks for the great service.
