Good rain gauge. The receiver is pretty good (I got the vertical version) but I ultimately plan on using it with rtl_433, which it works great with. Range seems good. Can’t comment on battery life.

Update: This little rain gauge survived 120+mph radar indicated winds from the eye wall of hurricane Milton. Recorded 9" of rainfall during the storm as well.Picked up this rain gauge to replace my old sight glass style gauge that cracked. This one is easy to set up and use (no more moving it for the mower or algae growth from sitting with water). Did the calibration procedure described in the manual, out of the box it was within 0.01" of spec so I left it alone. Rain alert feature is nice if you need a warning at a particular amount of rainfall. Overall solid purchase for $30.The rain cup is mounted to the fence with a 3d printed shelf I designed for it. The file is free on Thingiverse if you wish to do the same.

This was a huge waste of money. Bought this for my father who is a farmer and likes to track the rain. It was extremely complicated to set up and then broke after a month of being outside. Don’t waste your money.

The weather station was easy to set up, directions are well written and easy to follow.Really like the instant indoor readout and that it is self draining.

Used 3 sets of batteries in one week. Accurite agreed to replace faulty unit , until they found out I had it shipped from Amazon US to Australia. They said they will not honor warranty outside of US. I'm out 9 alkaline batteries and postage to send it back. I will replace with another brand...

I had this out on my deck for a few months and it worked well. In particular, the "rtl_433" program can read data from the sensor and forward it to other systems. It's great for the DIY home automation crowd.However, when I went to bring it in for the winter, one of the tabs cracked for the funnel. This was mentioned in other reviews too. I'm going to glue it back together, and I expect I can get several more seasons out if it with some minor repairs.

I bought this open box model that had obviously been returned. Probably because it's a bit finicky to set up. On the plus side the numbers are large and easy to read, if there is a light handy. At this price I would expect a back-lit screen. So, it's hard to read if your room is dark. The gauge seems to be accurate. I didn't have to make any calibrations out of the box. I would not have paid full price for this but got the open box model at half price.

Works awesome I see the weekly total and know if I need to water my grass and if the weather man should get paid or fired.
