It’s really only to keep hair out of your face. There is little warmth and it isn’t designed for small women.

This light weight hood was perfect for scuba diving in Hawaii. Kept the hair out of my mask and kept my head protected from stinging creatures. Also did not trap air inside. Highly recommend if you want just a light, non-restricting, hood!
