This really works!Just wiggles the prongs in, the longer one first. Push in as far as I it reached the top of the cork, turn slowly then pull.It really is that simple, I managed to get the cork put on first try!

If you have ever been fortunate enough to pull the cork on a great older bottle of wine and found to your dismay that the cork disintegrates as you try to slidebit out. This is the solution! Whether for a nice old bottle of wine , or Port wher ethe corks have lost their firmness, this will remove the offending cork easily and cleanly. Just get the fine wine seive and funnel ready for the next step.

Arrived on time and in good condition. However we could not get it to remove a cork in a wine bottle. No instructions came with the item.

There were no instructions with this product so in that regard I have not been able to make it work. Either I don’t know how to work it or it’s unsatisfactory

I have always used the 'old school' Waiter wine bottle opener or the Wing style corkscrew opener for my wine and had never given it a thought about trying anything else. (I did try using one of the 'air pump' style opener years ago but that tended to get messy half the time or else it pushed the cork into the bottle while trying to insert the needle.So, I purchased the 'Ah-So Wine Opener Corkscrew' and it was so easy to open a bottle of wine! You just insert the longer tine down one side of the bottle between the bottle and cork and then insert the shorter tine. Push down and then pull up, voila! you have an open bottle of wine.

Very simple to use as long as you slowly shimmy it in at the beginning. If you shimmy too fast, the cork might go in a little. Took 2-3 bottles of wine to get use to, but now i open all my bottles with this effortlessly within 30secs. I love how the cork is no longer damaged other than the slight squeeze marks made by this opener.Lost a star due to cap being plastic.

I bought this because I had an issue getting the cork out of a vintage expensive bottle of wine. the corkscrew chewed the center out and left me to figure out how to get the wine out. I ordered this product the next day. How you use it is insert the long side down one side of the cork until the other side is going to make contact with the cork Then insert the other side down the other side of the cork a bit and rock it from side to side so that you are alternating the pressure to each prong one at a time as you press down. Repeat the rocking until the handle bottoms out on the top of the bottle. Grip the handle and rotate the cork to free it. Then pull and twist out simultaneously. I would gift this to a wine enthusiast if they don't have one but I would also order one for myself. I think I will probably not use the corkscrew again.
