My 4 year old granddaughter would not ride on a tube even though she enjoyed riding in the boat and swimming around the boat when it was parked. We finally convinced her to try this tube. A lot of tubes require a planing speed to keep the nose up out of the water, but this one can be pulled at any speed. She rode it in front of grandma. I pulled them about 5 to 7 mph and they loved it. Instructions on the tube recommend sitting on the tube with knees bent and legs back, but grandma rode with her feet in front of her. It worked fine for us and she keeps asking to "ride the hot dog". But don't think this is a boring tube. When adults get on it and you add some speed and some S-turns, it is quite thrilling. Or as my daughter said "It's like riding a torpedo!"

Perfect for young children. Stable in the water as long as you dont put too much air in it. We have a pontoon boat and this is great for casual tubing, cant say as to how it would work behind a ski boat. Adults can use it but your knees hurt after a short period of time.

I bought this inflatable as a gift to my family, and opened it one month after the date for return, so I am stuck with it. Firstly, after inflating it for its inaugural use, it promptly lost air, making it floppy and unusable as a flotation device. I checked the three air input locations and it seems that two of them don't seal properly. Secondly, the tow rope attaches so low, that the rope causes water to stream up into the face of the person on the front of the tube. My family has used tubes for years and this one is unsatisfactory by comparison. I would give it a higher rating but the fact it loses air makes a waste of money.
