Recommended. Long battery life, 3aa lasted about 18 months before needing replaced. Stood up to weather in Ohio. Transmitter is mounted on a metal fence post so it is out in the elements and no issues. It's mounted about 50 feet away from the receiver. The volume on the receiver is plenty loud and can be adjusted down. Easy to set up and adjust. Discreet enough to blend in, yet could be mistaken for a camera if a burglar notices it. More affordable than some similar alarms and a good value all around. Never needed tech support, but there's a sticker on the receiver with the contact info just in case. If you lose power or unplug the receiver, you'll have to readjust the receiver to your alarm of choice, which takes only about 30 seconds. The verbal alarm voice sounds like an Asian female. The doorbell and other non verbal type alarms sound perfectly fine, not too synthetic. But the speaker is tiny, so the quality the sound is average, but still perfectly fine. I'll be buying an additional transmitter for the side yard in the spring.

Worked for a few months, then quit working. When I brought it in to replace the batteries thinking that was the issue, it was full of water.Too late to return as it sat on my shelf for months before I got it put out.

I am using 2 sensors. It is nicethat the tones are unique. I installed one in a birdhouse I made for it to protect/disguise it a bit. Been a week and they are working perfectly!

We needed something that our dog would trigger when she was ready to come back in. She wouldn't bark so we never knew if she was at the door. And unfortunately we forgot her sometimes for a hour. She didn't like this. So I found this and it is the best investment we could have made. We never forget her. It is cold here and it still working.

I purchased these because we could never tell if someone was in driveway. Now we are alerted thanks to motion sensor, easy to install, lots of different chimes and when on loud they are deafing. Also distributor contacted via e mail to make sure everything was ok, all the pieces and nothing broken. Then asked two days later to write review.UPDATE Sept 18/24 one of my sensors after one month would not shut off, tried new batteries did not work. Contacted seller about issue and responded next day, within that day I was told sending me a new sensor no charge!!Changed rating from four star to five, due to very quick customer service, and solution

Purchased this as more of a gag than a serious security feature. Works pretty well. Took the sensors to various levels and areas of the house, as far away from the main detector as possible, and it worked pretty good. I’m not using them outside so I can’t speak of their durability, but I can tell just by looking they would not be waterproof. I also haven’t checked the range yet to see if they can detect motion as far away as stated in the description. Over all, I’m fairly satisfied with the product. I would love to add a customized feature to be able to record your own word or phrase to identify where each sensor is. There’s a variety of different sounds you can use, but doorbell rings and owl hoots and dog barks aren’t the same as ‘master bedroom’ or ‘garage’.If you’re looking for a fun little sensor, I’d say this is a good item to purchase.

Den håller vad den lovar. Vi har satt en vid infarten, 260 meter från huset. I mörker säger den till, känner värmen. Så nu kan ingen komma obemärkt. Vi är nöjda, saknar video bara. Men det kanske kommer i framtiden?

The Owl alarm system is great! It's attractive (cute even) and very easy to set up. I like that it has so many types of alarms (35) and different levels of sound. You can choose between 4 volume levels. The receiver (alarm part) is plugged into an outlet in your home or work area in a spot where you can easily hear it from all levels of your home. The sound quality is very good. My husband is hard of hearing but has no problem hearing it when it's on it's loudest setting. We have wild ducks, pheasants, deer, foxes, turtles and beaver here and so far no false alarms! However, if someone drives along the driveway it picks them up quite easily. I raise Irish Setters so I was concerned about them setting it off, so we placed it in an area so that if they head down the driveway to leave the property, we get an alarm in time to call them back. Also, if people walk onto the property, it warns us as well.Our sensors are a good distance from our home, yet still work accurately. I haven't rated the battery life of the sensors, as our system is new, however, if I find that it isn't as good as expected after time, I will update my review.I purchased the set with two sensors. I wish I had ordered a larger set. I will order some extra motion sensors later. We plan to place one to warn us of animals/people near our chicken coop/run and our adjoining dog/puppy run as well as at each access point of our property. We have one set up that will warn us if someone enters our garage or back door area - especially at night. The dogs will warn us if someone enters from the other doors. :)This is a great price for a simple to use but well-working alarm system. I highly recommend it.
