We’ve had our echo dot for a while but wanted to move it to our toddler’s bathroom. The issue was the cord laying all over the counter, and simply wrapping it around looked unattractive. This holder is a perfect solution to keep the cord out of sight and out of little one’s reach. Plus it frees up counter space. I really like that there are two options for hanging, either speaker up or speaker down. If you want the speaker down, you have to connect the holder properly. There are instructions for it, but one of the three little “arms” has an additional opening that you can put the cord through to make it fit snuggly and be perfectly hidden. There’s also the option for speaker up to have the cord coming from the bottom and it has a notch cut out for that too. Easy to install and looks great! Make sure to wrap the cord around the circle on the back and don’t just try and shove it in the open space.

Works fine. Clips easily but the cord wrap is a bit tricky inside.

I was apprehensive about ordering this because many reviewers said they had trouble using it with the Echo Dot that has a clock. I don't know what they are talking about. Maybe they received a different product? It works great with mine. It popped right in. Granted, the button controls aren't accessible if you want the clock to show, but who uses the buttons? I talk to mine or use the app. If I do need to access the buttons, it's easy to just pop it out. It's also sturdy in the outlet, and leaves space for something else to plug in above it. Very happy with this purchase.

Was looking for something to have the Dot in the laundry room and this allowed for a perfect mount that hides the cord.

As expected. Gives a clean look as it hides all cords nicely. 10/10.

Bought for the echo dot 4th generation. It fit perfect. Only issue was when wrapping the cord behind plastic cover you had no choice but to have a bit of the cord ( white of course - thanks echo) sticking out on the outside to plug into unit.

I bought this to add an Echo Dot to my garage. The outlet is one I put in the rafters to power other equipment and I figured it was out of the way and I wasn't going to touch it anyway. The instructions were pretty good and it was easy to figure out the two mounting mechanisms. I do like how it wraps the cord for the power adapter that comes with your Echo Dot and the entire piece is pretty sturdy. However, the first thing that happened when I plugged it in is that it popped out of the socket and fell to the ground. This is because there is no wall below this particular power socket and gravity will cantilever the bottom of the mount and unplug it for you. It's not a big deal, really. Two screws and a piece of scrap wood gave it some bottom support and a velcro cable tie keep the top flush against the outlet. I do wish the design had a better means of holding it flush. If you're planning on putting this up against a normal wall, you'll be fine.

This device makes it possible to have your new 4th Gen Echo Dot mounted directly on your wall outlet. After using it for a few days, I thought that I should mention a few things that might be helpful to note:-Size. It is pretty big. Hopefully you can tell the size in the pictures, with the outlet as a reference point.-Orientation: The instructions note that you can place the Echo Dot itself in two different orientations; either with the back power and audio-out connections pointing up (A), or pointing down (B). In the pictures, I set it with the connections pointing up (A). This actually makes it so that the SPEAKER is pointed slightly down, so you might want to reverse it and try orientation (B) to have the speaker pointed up, depending on the location of your outlet. Also, if you ever wanted to use the audio-out port, you would also need to use orientation (B), so that you can access the port at the bottom when it is plugged in. This will all make more sense when you actually see how it attaches.-Cable management: In the pictures I show how the power cord doesn't seem to fit in the small space above the Dot; but you need to make sure to notice the plastic circle directly behind the Dot. This circle is to wrap the cable around, so that there is room for the long power cord. This is the only way the power cord will fit neatly. Don't be like me and try to bunch up the cord and cram it in there, just wrap it around the circle and it fits fine.So overall, this add-on is fine for what I needed, and seems to be sturdy enough to hold up well. One should also note, however, that the Echo Flex exists. The Echo Flex is already a wall plug in version of Echo, which is also smaller and itself has a few useful attachments. The only downside to the Flex is the smaller and less impressive speaker. For most people, I would have to recommend going with the Flex if you want to plug an Echo directly into the wall; but it is nice to have this option too.
