Appears to be the exact same carburetor as the JD original. This one is ~$40. The JD carburetor is ~$400. Been working fine for years now. Use Avgas, no ethanol-no problems

I finally got a chance to i stall this carburetor today on JD LX 188. It worked perfect right away with small adjustment to the throttle cable. I was quoted over $500 at local John Deere dealership. Probably the same carb.

The carb itself works, however the float is able to hold back the fuel. It ran fine as the fuel kept running out of the overflow. I took the bowl off and adjusted 5 times, did not help. Did not matter if I set it at the lowest position in the bowl, the needle would not hold back the fuel. I ended up rebuilding the 20-year-old carb and now she runs like a champ.Please stop selling junk China parts! I really wish someone would stop allowing cheap China stuff to be sold here. It is very frustrating.
