The music on this two-record album is great. My problem is that, on most of the songs, just as the song is getting going, someone turns it off!When I say "turns it off", I mean, the volume gets turned down to zero, over the course of a few seconds, and that's it, it's over. Then there's a silence and the next song starts up organically - by the musicians themselves. But I was not expecting this "plug pulling" thing to happen. This is my fourth blues album I've purchased, and none of the other three albums did this.It's a bit like being at a concert, and halfway through a song, some sort of authority figure comes out onto the stage and puts their hand over the singer's mouth, and switches off their instruments. Over and over again. So weird. Why not wait till the musicians were done with the song? I'm so glad that none of my classical albums do that - "well, we've let them listen to 3/4 of this Beethoven symphony, now it's time to move on to another symphony". We can chuckle about how silly this example is, but who knows, this could really happen in the future.Anyway I had no idea this was going to happen over and over on this album. Maybe this was explained somewhere on amazon, but if so, I missed it. Or maybe if I grew up in a country with omnipresent censorship, stifling people's voices everyday, this would not feel so jarring to me.Otherwise, the music is great, if you can look past this particular issue that I found distracting.
