The An-225 transport aircraft (Russian/Ukrainian: Ан-225, code name: Мрія, English: An-225 Mriya, translation: Miriam/Fantasy; NATO code name: Cossack), is a very large military transport aircraft developed by the Antonov Design Bureau of the former Soviet Union.
The An-225 transport has a maximum takeoff weight of 640 tons, a maximum cargo hold of 250 tons, a maximum top fuselage load of 200 tons, a fuselage length of 84 meters and a wingspan of 88.4 meters. Since its birth, the An-225 transport aircraft has been brushing itself and setting new world records in terms of load capacity and takeoff weight, with a total of 250 before and after, many of which have remained unbroken. The giant aircraft was developed to transport large space equipment, such as rocket parts and space shuttle parts, and could carry the Space Shuttle Tempest on its top.
On March 4, 2022, it was destroyed at Gostomeli Airport, Ukraine, due to war.

I was exceptional when my son asked me to buy this plane but he didn’t want ent cheap toy cargo planes only this one. I wanna tell u when it arrive we were amazed. It’s well made and beautiful.

Bought this for my 7 year old's birthday. This model is heavy and very sturdy. Definitely well built for the price. He's in love with his new plane!

My grandson loves this plane. It took just a minute for him to snap on the wings and landing gear. I'm so glad I splurged and got him the large size model. It is impressive. He's hoping that there are enough parts in Ukraine to assemble another of these planes after the war is over. The Russians bombed the last intact Antonov cargo plane like this model.

I bought this model for one of my grandsons who is enamored with the Antonov 225. It turned out my other grandson took a strong liking to the model.This is a very accurate and well built model. It has a screw-in stand so it will not be damaged by handling. It is not a dozen piece model that takes hours to piece together. Only one snap joint, the wing assembly.It is rather expensive for a model. But I bit the bullet for I knew a model of the AN-225 Mriya would be a hit with my grandson.
