Fit great in my grand marquis good low cost replacement for air springs, these springs don’t come with an insulator so you’ll need to buy one of them

These fit and work perfectly. The original suspension had some sag so I decided to give these low cost replacement springs a shot. They are amazing. They brought my Merc back to life. No more float to my boat. The Grand Marquis actually handles like a car again.

I own a (now classic) 1998 Crown Victoria with 87k miles on her. These cars were built with very weak rear springs in '98. Police departments across the county complained so much (or so I've read), that the next year FOMOCO fitted their vehicles with new [F8AC5560GA] springsThese are the constant rate type, as opposed to the variable rate type [CC865]. Although the seller didn't distinguish between the two variations in their individual descriptions of each; doing an inordinate amount internet research is always both fun, and educational. My final decision was that the F8AC5560GA option would best fit my needs. They arrived in a timely fashion, as claimed. Honestly, Amazon's timing couldn't have been better that day! It was about 15:30 and I had just gotten the ol' girl up on jack stands when the delivery driver showed up. A few minutes later I thought I was in trouble, because after removing the lower shock bolts, the old springs didn't sort of... just fall out, like a couple of videos I'd watched indicated they would. Fortunately. I found a spring compressor I hadn't used in 20 years or so buried in the bottom of a tool chest. About two hours later my classic Panther looked better, rode better; was about 1.0 inch higher in the rear instead of 1.5 inches lower (shouda, coulda taken b4 and after pics, but didn't) and now longer scrapes the sidewalk's curb as I pull into my driveway. All righty then!
