The pan was a perfect fit on my 2010 Chrysler Town and Country with the 3.8L 62TE 6 speed transmission. It is solid, and feels more robust than the OEM pan I removed.I will note - if you are changing this pan out, you are likely also changing the filter. I got an aftermarket Amazon filter - the filter appears to be fine, but the metal/rubber seal that it comes with is extremely crappy. I bent it trying to get it in, which led to extreme frustration.Do yourself a favor and get the OEM Mopar seal (part number 5078836AB). Apparently buying them individually at this juncture in time is difficult…. As of today, 9-4-24… I couldn’t find them online and the only one I could find was thankfully in stock at a Chrysler dealership 1.5 hours away. The OEM seal seated perfectly without any issues. Also - if you got a filter that comes with a rubber gasket…. Throw that junk away also and get a Fel-pro gasket. When you have all the correct parts…. This job is easy peasy.

I have replaced my grand caravan's transmission oil pan which doesnt have a drain plug with this one, its a game changer. Now I can change transmission oil as easy as motor oil. I used permatex gasket maker, that was also a must if you wanna change the pan

Thought this was a solution to changing transmission fluid without the mess of dropping the pan every time. The drain plug is the reason I purchased this product -- it's the entire reason this product exists.Though there was a minor leak after I installed this product, I can't actually say why the leak occurred. I must have done something wrong when installing it -- but the leak was not the issue. The issue is the drain plug!In the interest of removing this pan to correct the leak by reinstalling it with a gasket (first install I used RTV sealant only) I of course had to take out the drain plug to drain the fluid I had recently put in. I could tell as soon as I began to remove the drain plug, that it had been cross-threaded. As I did not touch or remove that plug at any time prior to having to remove it because of the leak, the cross-threading would have occurred at the time of manufacture. The threads are stripped... this of course makes this product unusable. And a secondary issue, the drain plug is too short -- it installs way too shallow. The plug is not even long enough to protrude beyond the depth or thinkness of the corresponding, threaded nut in the pan -- not a good a design. I would give a zero star rating, but that is unfortunately not possible in the rating system.

The drain plug is a great added feature over oem just in case you overfill your transmission fluid or want to do partial change of fluid.

Got this to put on when changing the fluid on my 2010 VW Routan (Same thing as the Chrysler/Dodge minivans). Nice heavy duty metal. Works great.
