Before last year's Halloween, I had settled on the idea of a futuristic ninja-type costume. That being said, I knew I needed a sword sheath for a plastic laser sword that I had purchased. To my dismay, the design of this sword sheath was not favorable. Any sword that I slid inside it tends to hang in an awkward position on my back. Also, due to the fabric material, it can sometimes be difficult to pull the sword out of it or put it in. However, for the low cost, it may work for those on a budget.

Awful product, the only way to make it fit my pre-teen was to get crafty. There are no instructions/documentation and it's just way too big.

Not bad but doesn't hold up on your shoulders easily

I don't put any real swords inside of it. Foam swords mainly since they're lighter. Has a tight fit so I don't have to worry about the swords flying out. I also like the extra straps incase you need it. Haven't used it in a way that I need to sheathe anything in quickly but it feels sturdy enough to handle it

Fits swords with a guard, or else it will just slide through...The history of why it says banned in Canada fascinates me.It's not especially high quality, though it's not badly made.

Straps lenght is way too short! Extended them as loose as I could but still short. Quality of the sheath is alright: sturdy as well as perfectly sized.Update: straps do adjust to preferred size, I just didn't find a way to do so at first. Fits as expected, good thing 2 came with it because the 1st one is as good as done.

Only thing I didn't like about this is that it arrive with a big crease in it where it was folded for shipping. I was afraid that would ruin it and make it look bad if nothing else. Turned out not to be an issue. This is a must have if you have a wooden, plastic, etc. training blade without a sheath. Perfect for Cosplay too. Fits well, can be swapped right or left side of back, I think it could work fine worn at belt level too but I haven't actually tried that. Worth buying. I will probably buy another and see if it will allow me to carry both of my katanas on my back. Really pleased with this purchase.

I recently dressed up as a ninja for a family night event at my church. I own a couple of Cold Steel bokken (plastic training swords), and decided they would make a great costume addition to wear around children of various ages. All I needed was a way to strap the swords to my back, Leonardo-style. One person commented that they managed to attach two of these together crossed, and I was in for two. They arrived in mint condition, with not one but two straps which can be removed easily by little plastic clips. They can also be removed by ripping the clip off the sheathe, which I did almost immediately by accident as I had a sheathe slung over my shoulder and I was trying to adjust the length of the strap. Oops. Good thing I only really needed one strap per sheath. The construction appears to be a roomy plastic casing, wrapped in a nylon-or-other-plastic-cloth, with the plastic clips attached to more of the cloth which appears to be sewn on. It looks more sturdy than it proved to be, although I think the weakness is just a matter of really thin cloth and the clips aren't attached to the plastic casing. My bokken fit perfectly, and although I didn't find a good method of attaching the sheaths together, I found that if I ran the straps through a belt loop in the back, I had a workable outfit that more or less survived a run through a makeshift obstacle course and some talking on stage. There was one part where I had to go through a space that would be too tight to get the swords through, and score one for those plastic clips on the strap. Unfortunately, I also managed to tear two more of the plastic clips almost completely off the scabbard. In the end, while not super sturdy against an average night of ninja-ing with an audience of small-to-medium children, these were mostly functional, they fit my plastic swords perfectly, and they looked nice. I've since reattached the clips with hot glue, but admittedly I don't yet know if this will hold as well or better than what it arrived with. Authentic ninjas and Deadpool stunt doubles should probably steer clear, as these will shred the first time you land a jump off a simple three story building. For those looking for a nice costume piece, I'd recommend this.

Not very high quality. Half of it was broken only a few hours into having a practice sword in it. Also was not exactly as shown in the picture, and instead contains two connected sheathes.
