Usually wear a large in pants. However, I knew I was going to wear over jeans, so I got a 2XL and I'm glad I did. It fits perfect. Side slits so you can easily get to your pant pockets in front. Snaps at bottom, to ensure water does not get in your shoes. 2 different snap size options at bottom of leg pants. The reflectors at bottom of legs work. Love how bright the color orange the pants are. I'm 5'3", pants are a little long. Measured leg pants and can easily fit up to a 6' person, without it being high waters.

This is a pair of rain pants.They are large enough to fit over a regular pants but yet fit really good around the waist. Length however it's way too long, I'm taking about 3 to 4 inches here. I tried cutting them with a pair of scissors but then you lose the elastic at the bottom. Not so good when bike riding because the parent get caught up in the chain. I could have folded the bottom off the pants but then rain would get trapped in the fold. One day I will consider using a piece of stick on Velcro to tie up the pants leg.Nice pants, good rain protection, but I'll take a star for the super excessive length that caused me some problems.Quality is fine, price is fine.

Measurements Size Medium: Waist 13 1/2 inches across lying flat unstretched (will expand to 18 inches), inseam 30 inches, width of leg cuff 10 inches, total length from waist to bottom of leg is 43 inches. These rain pants have plenty of room to wear your regular clothes underneath. The side of the pants have slits in the pocket area so you can access the pockets on your under clothes. The cuffs of the pants have snaps for a snug fit over your boots. The pants are 100 % polyester with a polyurethane coating. I tested the pants for waterproof ability, and they did not allow water to pass through. The pants are a medium weight and have a care instruction label sewn directly onto the waistband. I really like this product and am very pleased with the visibility and waterproof features.

(Update: Did a great job at the football game. No need for a poncho to keep my legs dry and they look really nice. Room to wear thick pants and they really weren't too long. And when done with them they fold up into a pretty small little bundle. I like them, a lot.)I have a 33" waist and I was trying to guess which size to pick so that I could wear work pants under. So I chose large. As illustrated in the advertisement these have significant expandability. Looked like it would be a little tight, but when I pulled the waistband to the sides I stepped in quite easily and they were neither too tight nor too loose around my waist. At 5'9" the large is about 3" too long for my legs. With work boots on it is reduced to about 1" too long. But every person is different.I have not worn them in a downpour yet, but at the football game on Sunday it appears I will get my chance to really test just how waterproof they are. I have a hard time believing I have lived in the Pacific Northwest so many years, and have worked outside in the winter quite a bit, yet never got rain pants. My wife loves hers and wears them often. I simply have gotten wet pants legs. So it appears that is about to change.The fit and make is very good, and I tried pouring water on them, which isn't a valid test, showed no moisture penetrating the fabric. The side pockets really are not pockets, but pass-throughs to your regular pants pockets. There are two layers making up the side flaps, with the front overlapping the back by about an inch. i am hopeful that is sufficient to keep water from making it through.Looking forward to using these in a meaningful way. Not only at the football game, but just today I picked up a large load of lap siding that needs to be installed. And the weather prediction is rain, rain, and more rain.
