Stop using the same cheap off-the-shelf bearing adapter kit designed for old-school impact wrenches and the DIY market! Introducing the Astro Tools 78825HD Heavy-Duty Grade 9 Master FWD Bearing Adapter Kit with Thrust Bearing. This is our most professional, highest-grade, and most effective bearing press and install kit we've ever made, incorporating several upgrades and commonly requested additions designed for the professional. Instead of Grade 5 or Grade 8 3/4" threads, Astro’s 78825HD uses a 7/8” thread designed for impact use that meets U.S. Grade 9 (Class 12.9) specifications and uses all fully forged, machined, and zinc-chromate plated adapters for pairing with your modern high-powered high-torque impacts. By popular demand, instead of washers the 78825HD uses a Heavy-Duty thrust bearing designed to use on semi-truck lug stud installs to pair with the 1.25" hex drive bolt head making bearing removal installs require less effort, less impacting, and more results. Replace wheel bearings without requiring post-service alignment as the strut assembly and steering knuckle remain intact. This master kit is suitable for dozens of applications and includes an up-to-date guide.

Tool set came in a heavy duty plastic case. The tools seemed for heavy duty use. Extracting and installing a Scion TC wheel bearing was a breeze. When installing the hub, one of the tools broke. Going to see if I can get a replacement tool for the failed part.

These things are Stout, Have not had a chance to use them yet but i almost thru out my back picking up the box off the front porch when it was delivered. Packaging was intact items inside were complete and undamaged. Now I just have to wait for the rest of my parts to come in to finish this job. These we see alot of use and I have no doubt they will hold up to the stresses that they where made for. Will update review after use.

I replaced my rear bearings on my Crossfire SRT6 without any problems using this press kit. It made it really easy and fast to press the bearings out and back in. I was even able to use it to press the hub assembly back in with the kit. Worth the money!!! It’s very well built and the thrush bearing is totally worth it too.

Removing a small passenger car front wheel bearing was so close to a no-go and required an excessive amount of time and effort. My impact gun really struggled and manual effort with two long 1-1/4 wrenches was not possible... and I'm not a weakling. The issue, I believe, is the bolt supplied with the kit. The massive SAE grade 9 bolt provided really needs to be a fine instead of course thread (assuming that is workable). The typical issue of thread stripping for these type of kits was certainly(!) not a problem here, the course thread just requires too much muscle for my equipment... and me. People with really high-end impact wrenches will love this kit.Just a foot note for purchasers of any of these kits - Metric grade 8.8 is about equal to SAE grade 5: Hence the common complaint with the less expensive kits having thread stripping issues.Update - I lent this tool to a friend and he had NO difficulty removing and installing his wheel bearings - the secret was simply to use a 1/2 inch two-foot breaker bar.
