My transmission was acting odd. Shifting at higher rpms or not going to into gear at all. I was also getting a surging at around 50 - 60 mph in overdrive. This is a messy job, so first I pumped out the fluid that was in the pan trough the dipstick tube, then I removed the pan. Left a big plastic sled under the truck to catch the remaining dripping transmission fluid. I replaced this part along with the A and B shift solenoids, 3-2 solenoid and the 1-2 accumulator while I had it open. As you can see from my picture, the old one had a lot of fine metal filings in the switches. This shorts them out and confuses the computer. Don't know if it was just this part that fixed it, but It works better than it ever did before.
