Seeing this piano mat totally made me think of that giant piano that Tom Hanks ran around on in that movie from the 80s (Big?), and I knew my kids would love it. And they did, of course, it's perfect for them to run around and jump on, creating all kinds of havoc and noise.I really appreciated that it came with batteries and was ready to go out of the box, as I opened it with 6 kids over and they all wanted to try it out. It was hard to keep more only one of them on at a time so it sounded ridiculous and unintelligible but they had a blast. There are a bunch of different modes and sounds that the piano can make, so it's quite fun for just making noise or attempting to make something actually sounds good. It also rolls up pretty small for storage. This will get a lot of use at our house.

I got this to entertain our friends grandkids when they visited. The material of the mat is very crinkly and there's no real feel for what is a key -vs- just mat since it all feels the same under foot. The kids found it entertaining and put on a show of random notes and noises until they got bored of it after 30 mins and wanted to watch TV. No one complained the show was over lol. It's no Tom Hanks in Big keyboard but certain to entertain among other toys and options.

So, the voice overs for the animals are a bit weird. Some like the dog sounds like a guy who gave a 3 out of 10 effort to sound like a dog. That said, the little one loves it anyway. Also, make sure after unpacking that you toggle the switch from the demo mode to the regular mode. I thought my piano keys were broken, but it just turns out that I had to change the setting!

I am so glad this thing has a volume adjuster because the sound can get a bit annoying. My 3 year old and 8 month old are loving jumping and rolling around on this thing. Since there are 2 "player" sides it makes it easy to play with my toddler too, we can both make noises on our respective sides and try to copy each other. The noises you can choose from are silly and fun and there's a soundtrack on this that is also fun and energetic. It's easy to fold up and put away when not in use too, making it a space saving toy. This is a fun interactive toy to engage with siblings and parents or enjoy alone.
