I’ve purchased this baby car camera 10 months ago. However it’s stopped working suddenly for no reason. It’s won’t last long even for a year till my baby has reach the age to forward facing position… Sad that I had to buy another set of it.Not bad for the price though this product has low brand quality in a cheap electronic company that made of China lol… I will not re-purchase. They should issue a warranty too..

I purchased this for my daughter as a baby shower gift, so it didn't get opened until after the retun date had passed.Wish I would have opened the box and tried it ahead of time. The camera itself works great, nice and clear and the night vision is great too. The problems we have are that the extension cable that makes it reach all the way up to the dashboard didn't work and the only power source we recieved was a wall plug in; which is fine in my vehicle, I have one, but they don't so it's useless to them; Plus with the extension piece not working and the fact that my plug in is basically in the back seats, it's on the bottom of the middle console, the farthest it will reach is the arm rest between the front seat, meaning you have to turn your head to see it.So, while I would recommend this product based on the fact that the camera does what it is supposed to do, I HIGHLY recommend opening the box the day you recieve it and make sure that the cable works and you recieved the 12v plug in if it is something you need to have.

This product is a definite must have! Though my power cord broke around the tines for the 12V plug, I need to find another one to use or a replacement if available.Everyone should have this instead of a mirror!

Peace of mind when you have a newborn sitting in the back seat, but requires a bit of work. So I’ll break down the steps it took to install this;-clean car-mount screen where you would like it to be-plug in power to 12v outlet- stretch camera and cord (the longest piece of the kit) out completely-lift backseat (most car seats pop up when pulled upwards from the front)- with camera resting near desired headrest pull seat forward (so you can see into the trunkRun the cable behind the seat back to the base-slip it under the seat ( which you popped out earlier) pull it through completely. Helps if you have a buddy to pull the cord through.- run the cable either underneath the seat/carpet or trim, whatever works for you I ran it under the passenger seat then under the door trim up and under the dashAt this point you when you pop out your glove box and continue running the camera cordI mounted the screen on the windshield toward the passenger side and ran the cables down through the speaker vent in and behind the the glove box- make all your connections keeping in mind the power cord does have a limit- secure you cords appropriately behind the dash put back your glove box-Any excess cable in the back tuck under the rear seat and secure it back into place by pressing down. Your done. Now the gripes; the screen cord could be a little longer. But that depends on your car and the way you choose to run it, originally wanted the screen to be centred but due to cable length had to move it over to the passenger side. The plug that goes into the 12v outlet pops out randomly, hoping it just needs to be broken in. And finally during night vision mode if a car headlight hits the camera the screen flashes white which can be disconcerting. The pros, the screen is phenomenal. When initially plugged in I was blown away considering the manual said it’s only a 480p screen but it’s also an IPS panel which probably makes a huge difference. The automatic switching from daytime to nighttime mode, no need to manually adjust anything.Final thoughts, again if you got kids in the back this is an invaluable tool especially if driving by yourself (with no other adults in the car). In reality you do not need to go through all the steps I did for cable management but the risk of snagging or damaging the cords is significant if not properly tucked away but really is personal preference.
