These toys are based on a show called BayBlades but even if you don't know the show (which myself and my son do not) they are still a fun toy to play with. Individually you can have fun trying to see how long you can make them spin or watch them bounce off things and "Burst" apart, but the real fun begins if you have a pair of them and a box or tray to compete in by launching each pair against each other and see who's the last standing.Material wise the construction is well made for both the launcher and the tops, the units and launcher are compatible with other similar "Gyro toys" and the set of tops it comes with gives a good variety but also allows mixing and matching of the parts to combine and assemble your own.

This is a set of Battling Tops Burst Ultimate Fusion DX B206 B177 B151 Gyro Toys Set for Kids with B184 L/R Two-Way Launcher. There are 3 different tops included in the set along with a launcher. The launcher can be setup to spin the tops clockwise or counterclockwise. Each top consists of 3 pieces that snap together in a twisting configuration. The heavier metal piece is designed to maintain rotation when the outer piece slows as it gets hit. This process clicks it apart as it continues to get hit and eventually the top explodes into its 3 pieces. When the tops are battling in an enclosed arena that forces them to collide, the top that explodes first loses. The good thing is that you can then twist the tops back together and go again. If you just want to play with the tops without battling them, they work fine as tops by themselves. They spin for a long time.These are colorful and fun spinning battle tops.
