Used it on our pontoon to pull a tube. It works great. Keeps the rope from getting entangled with the prop.

This was advertised as a rope for a towable. The box it comes in calls it a boat tie off. I think that is the key here. This does not, in any way, float. The leads are REALLY long. I'm glad I thought ahead and held up the buckle until we were almost fully away from our tube or else it would have sunk right into the prop.I really like the clips and they are easy to attach to the boat, but if we can't fix the sinking buckle issue, this is going into the trash. Getting the rope and metal buckle wrapped up in the motor will seriously ruin it and I'm not into replacing a motor because of a tube tow rope.

It had two problems out of the box, but I've fixed both. First, the pulley is heavy and sinks. Second, the rope is really long, allowing the pulley to sink so deep that the rope wrapped around our propeller. I cut off one of the ends holding the hook, shortened the rope, and tied a bowline knot around the hook so it was the length needed for our boat. I also got a short section of a foam pool noodle, wrapped it around the section between the pulley and the connector for the tow rope, and secured it with some zip-ties. Now the pulley floats, and the rope stays out out our propeller. The pulley seems to be high quality stainless steel.

Although the rope & stainless steel attachment are qreat quality. They are a bit heavy..I added a small buoy to keep afloat

The only thing I can say here as I haven’t used it yet the metal clips are a bit on the small side not sure if they will clip into the pontoons and the hook for the tube is a bit on the small side for the rope that comes with the towables but it will work
