Someone on Amazon recommended this ligature to use with the synthetic Légère Reeds. At first I had some difficulty but I think it was because the reed needed to be broken in a little. I use the Euro Cut. This BG ligature holds it in place but still allows for plenty of vibration through all registers.

Sturdy, well-constructed, but not the right ligature for me because a great amount of the ligature material comes into direct contact with the reed, which makes for a masked, very dark sound that lacks flexibility and color - just my personal experience. I imagine that those who prefer an extremely dark sound might like this ligature.

I got this ligature because I liked how it appeared to hold the reed. It is a little harder to use that the bottom quality ligatures that came with the clarinet and I got with mouthpieces I have bought. This is now my go-to ligature and it does indeed work well. My tone is better with it.

Love this ligature. It has taken some time to get used to. I play on an old Vandoren CL4 mouthpiece, V12 reeds-strength 4, a Buffet icon barrel with silver rings, and an R13.. I should say it allows the reed and horn to vibrate/resonate well and the overtones are much more present. However, it gives the impression of brightness of sound but I’m not sure that is really the case. I’m sure it sounds much different a few feet away. It’s very lively and takes a bit more control as a player to use, but I’m enjoying it thus far. I play primarily in concert bands and am the concert master of two groups. The tone is dark, yet defined, with my set up and I am heard over the brass when I need to be.
