If I had it to do over again, I would purchase the OEM part even at almost 4x the $$. Like other reviewers I found that the plate had to be trimmed with a file to fit. Then once installed the plate continually pops out. I used two screws to solve this problem. Perhaps most frustrating was that the choke cable is to short. I had to route the cable differently than the original install and use zip ties to secure it rather than the screw clamps per the original. With considerable effort I’ve made the part work. I would have returned it but I have to use my tractor every day. Spend the extra $$ and get the OEM.

I bought this because it was way cheaper than the original John Deere part. I knew going in it probably wasn't going to fit well based on other reviews but I own plenty of tools so I didn't sweat it. The corners are 90 degree molds whereas the factory part has rounded edges. I ended up using a file to round them off which was easy enough. The tabs on the bottom side were the biggest pain. I couldn't get it pushed down into the slot far enough for the tabs to catch initially. I ended up having to use the file on the underside of it and pry the tabs down with a screwdriver before they caught. Once in place, it's not moving and it works. A bit more energy expended to save around $60 so I'm not too disappointed.

my husband made me order this. I know nothing about John deere but he seen it and said they make everything out of plastic. So, that being said he replaced the throttle and its good to go!

Being a woman it was a little hard for me to get the old throttle and choke control released. But if I ever have to do this again I will know exactly what needs to me done !!!
