I wear my radio on my chest and the antenna kept poking me in the face. This little antenna resolved that issue and I have seen no performance loss in my application.

These are great for short distances around the property or just down the road about a 1/2 mile.They are conveinent and don't get in the way or hung up on anything if you carry them on your belt.TX and RX is clear and strong. Will be great for trade show or other events where GMRS comms are needed.

Function just fine, the fit on the BF888 radios seems the base is a little wide and I'd probably choose other shorty antennas next time for those radios.

I was surprised that I could talk as far as i could . Even talking to my friend about 1.5 miles through treeswe could still hear each other .using same antennas. I never thought that UHF would do that good. I am used to to using VHF most of the time.

This antenna is very nice on a small Gmrs radio. On a TD-H3 it can connect to the repeater 33 miles away. It wasnt as clear as the 771 on a TD-H8 so it is a compromise. I do think that this antenna is great for a small pocket radio to carry nearly anywhere. I have not tried any long range simplex so I can't comment on that at this time.It recieves well.I am very happy with this and like that I can keep it in my pocket without a whip whipping around. The compromise is well worth it to me.

These antennas work very well for daily use on my UV-5R. They really make the radio more compact. The reception is very good, almost the same as the original rubber duck. They also work well on Baofeng BF-888S. Almost 2 months in and they are still perfect.

16-19:1 SWR. For 144/430. These antennas are tuned for 462-463.000mhz. 1-1.5 SWR. They should not be advised as is. Quality is cheap. But for a gmrs/frs stubby they are fine
