So, I have two extremely spoiled budgies. Typically they love to chew. This is safe for that purpose. Whether it keeps their claws shorter, questionable. However, it's extremely important their beaks are worn down properly to be able to unhull and eat their seeds (besides fruit, veges). Unfortunately, my beloved twits haven't discovered the chew factor of these great perches. Think I'll try putting one at beak level, slight distance between, and above another kind of perch. It'll definitely work beakwise if you've got smarter, chewier featherbabies. Meanwhile, I have to order a suitable mineral block (they don't like the one I bought very much) that they'll be more interested in to keep those beaks in proper shape. Cuttlebone is in cage but they don’t use it enough.

There is no way I am going to put these perches in my bird's cage. I hand washed them, like recommended and the grout came off the perches. If my bird was to wet the perch with his mouth, the grout would get into his mouth which is dangerous! I am shocked. . I am returning them to Amazon. I don't like giving bad reviews but this one must be posted.

These perches are too small for a pineapple conure. Picture is a bit misleading.
