We decided to purchase this mat because we wanted to our baby to be able to lay on the floor and practice moving around without actually laying on the floor. This was the perfect size and really cute. Definitely not an eye sore to have in the home in our common area. I have tried washing it and because of the size and square shape it doesn’t fit perfectly around the attenuator so it causes the washer machine to go off balance. If you have a front loader it should be fine. If you need a mat for your baby to relax or to use for diaper changes I would recommend this. But beware of the potential washer machine issues if you have a top loader

Thick enough and doesn't get dirty quickly. My baby is 5 months old and finds it comfortable. Even the dog at times lays on it. Good size and weight. Wish it was a smidge more thicker.

I LOVE having this mat around the house! It's cushy enough that I feel comfortable having baby chill on the kitchen tile floor while I putz around in there, but not so cushy that she just sinks in and can't function. Such a nice alternative to a bouncy seat or similar for those times you've got to put them down for a bit.
