Rugged polyethylene scrim and coating means this cover can withstand winter’s worst. Dirt Defender covers are U.V. protected so they will last for years in direct sunlight. The cover’s black underside retards algae growth and heat sealed seams means a crystal clear pool next spring. The big 4-Feet overlap ensures a proper fit for above ground pools unlike covers with 3-Feet overlaps. Dirt Defender covers are held secure with a heavy duty cable and winch tightener that is anchored by rip proof metal grommets. Backed by an 8 year warranty (1 year full rated). This Dirt Defender cover comes in a dark navy blue with a black underside.

Durable! To refuse wear and tear I only use it during pollen season.

Fits my 15x30 oval pool great. Unfortunately, when we removed the cover in the spring, it did tear. It did not endure the winter. Since the price is good, I purchased the same one. If it happens again, I'll probably purchase the same one again.

I purchased this cover for our pool 4 or 5 years ago to replace the previous one that had ripped. This cover has worked well till now where it too has ripped and will have to be replaced. The manufacturer listed this as an 8 year cover but going into it I knew that it would never last that long (they never do). As I've been pretty happy with the way this has held up and the fact that it wasn't all that expensive to begin with, I'm going to order this again.

I purchased this in September 2021, and used it for the 2021, 2022 and 2023 winters. Held up okay, tried it again this year (for winter 2024) and it has significantly deteriorated. As soon as leaves and rainwater pooled on top, we noticed the water level on the cover itself rising, which we soon realized was clean pool water pushing up through the cover. This may be very difficult to remove.I would say this cover works for a couple of winters, and maybe that's as long as they're supposed to last, but throw it away after that to avoid a huge hassle.

Very lightweight tarp like cover. The overlap fit over the side rails and you tighten the cable through the holes with a very small winch. Tightens down pretty securely. Wind did come up and lift underneath so we secured with some weights, otherwise it might turn into a big balloon on top of the pool. Rained after installing and had some water sitting on top. It will be interesting to see how this weathers a cold winter. You get what you pay for :)Update: Not recommended for windy areas. The last two pictures show the impact of wind on the cover. It seems no matter how much you tighten the edges a little air gets under and lifts the tarp off the water surface like a balloon putting too much tension on the eyelets.

Poor quality right from the manufacturer. Eyelets were either missing or mis-set. Too late to order another as we already had pool winterized and leaves were falling. 3 eyelets were misset and 2 were missing. Cable is also thin. Others companies in the past have supplied a thicker cable. Definitely check your pool cover before you start.

It is exactly as described. After cleaning and emptying the pool below outtake, my adult daughter and i put it on in about 1 hour.I put the cable through the grommets before we started.I also padded the sunblanket cones to keep them from ripping the cover from friction before starting. Not being terribly handy, we figured out the "ratchet" for the cable. Hint - pull everything tight around the pool while holding the cable's loose ends, then cut off most of the excess cable before putting it in the ratchet to tighten and close.I also weighed mine down with bungees and water filled jugs attached to the grommits and cables to secure for blustery storms. This will be the first winter for this cover, so we'll see next May how durable it was.

This cover didnt fit my pool to begin with the length was way to long and the width was right on which caused the side to sink when snow came and sat on the middle of the pool. Maybe they sent the wrong size but im pretty sure the package said 15x30. And i ordered the right size. I tried moving the tarp in different directions and it didnt fit right. The rings were all torn up after 1 year so a 8 year warranty doesnt matter i want something that wont cave in and tear with the weight of snow because druring the winter i was worried that was going to happen. I recommend putting 30-40 dollars more i to a blue poly tarp that is significantly bigger then the pool because i have had 2 of these tarps and not sure how they have an 8 year guarantee unless i read it wrong.

This is a good item but it is lightweight. I will keep leaves and items away But I think it may puncture easily it anything heavy touches it
