I am a contractor and have used core machines many times over the past 40 years, all of which were high dollar units. I have always rented them before and now I don't know why. This time I had a job that required multiple holes that had to be drilled on different angles. I made an adjustable base out of aluminium that tilted to the left and right with stops I could set 90 and the angles that I needed. I had to make 1 modification to the stand to lower the sq. tube in the core machine base. After mounting the base to my jig I made it worked perfect. I only drilled 2" and 1.5" holes. It took me about 3 hours to drill 20 holes from 4 to 10 inches in concrete and that included 8 holes at 90 degrees and 12 holes at 35 degrees.I an glad that I had to drill these angled holes, it forced me to make a adjustable mount and buy my own machine. I can't believe the money I have wasted over the years. My employees love the machine and the jig I made. Some one needs to start making the jig I made , worked great.THANK AGAIN FOR THE GREAT CORE UNITSteve C.

I've used this to core about ten 5" holes and a dozen and a half 2.5-3" holes so far, and it has worked flawlessly. It would have cost me more to rent a core drill the 3 or 4 times I've needed one. I'm sure if you are doing a hundred cuts a year, a Hilti or other high dollar tool would be better, but for someone who only does a limited amount of core drilling, this is the way to go.

Absolute piece of crap. We bought the core drill and the core drill stand set-up along with $850 worth of a complete set of drill bits and we could not drill a 4 inch hole in anything as soon as you put your hand on the drill bit it was enough to stop the drill bit from turning. Turned the torque adjustment knob all the way down and followed all the instructions that came with the unit to no avail the unit has absolutely no torque it's either defective or faulty engineering I don't know I just know that I've got over $1,300 invested in brand new equipment and it doesn't work.So I contacted Blue Rock to get the unit sent back and get a unit that works and they told me that it was past the 30 day warranty. And that I would not be able to return it and that my comments about leaving a bad review if they do not handle this properly wear tantamount to extortion so just want to let you all know that there's probably an 80% chance that the unit you're going to get does not work and will not work and if you do not discover this within the first 30 days they're going to tell you to go screw yourself like they just did to me.So blue Rock I just want to let you know, the whole world now knows what kind of scammers you are and how you deal with your customers you should be at least a one-year warranty on this product and it should work. I shouldn't pull straight out of the box and have it not work that's called a defective piece of equipment and you do not stand behind anything that you produce so this is not over, I will contact my attorney and we will take you to court and I don't care if you have to fly all the way from Oregon have a nice day sir try to handle your issues a little bit more professionally and you won't get taken to court.

Used today to drill two 3-1/2" holes through 24" concrete with a steel dragon extension bar and concord blades core bit. The operation was very smooth and drill worked very well. The clutch will slip easy it seems if the bit starts to bind which is great as it protections you and your tools however could be difficult to remove bit if you are drilling deep. so take it slow and ensure you are anchored securely and level. If you notice the drill slow down try backup and and slowly going back in.When i first turned it on the engine was spinning but the clutch wasn't engaging. Not sure why this was happening so played around with the speed and turned the bit a few times then it seemed to work..Over all am very happy with this core drill and stand. For the price it is well worth it and made my job very easy.
