Features:
- Prevent and repair the factory mainshaft 5th gear issue.
- The Lock nut retainer is designed to be complete with reinforced, extended splines attached to thick, sturdy walls that will lock the nut to the splines on the main shaft for good.

Fiment:
- Fits for 1994-2005 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 4WD with NV4500 5-speed transmission.
- Only fits for 29-spline output shafts (for DODGE 4wd models).
- Does not work with GM/Cheverolet NV4500 transmissions.
- The Nut Kits has reinforced threads on a thick sturdy steel body and has a double locking screw set for maximum grip, just to reinforce 5th gear.
Mainshaft 5th Gear Nut Wrench
- A Must Tool
- This wrench is required for all in-vehicle and bench repairs that involve mainshaft service, including mainshaft 5th gear replacement.
- Package Includes:1 x 1/2" Drive Mainshaft 5th Gear Nut Wrench
- There are 4 slot nuts on the mainshaft output side for GM 4x4 and for Dodge NV4500 transmissions, which retaining the mainshaft 5th gear.
- Due to these nuts are tightened to the high torque, it's essential to use the correct wrench to remove and install the mainshaft nuts.
- Note: The wrench only fits one way on nut. Be sure wrench is fully engaged in nut slots and is not cocked.

I have. 3500 cab & chassis the Lock Nut Retainer does not fit put the nut on went 560miles & it backed off

good product for reasonable price. i recomend cleaning splines and useing a bearing retaining compound like green loctite

Nice that it comes with the wrench. Set torque wrench to 255 ftlbs.
