Bought for my wife who wishes she had been using them first the past many years rather than standard pruners. Battery lasts pretty well too.

I am surprised at the quality of motor and precision of clipper. My only concern would be the power button as it seems flimsy and not at all waterproof.

Excellent tool that will save you overuse injuries. I thought this was a tool for wimps, but after trying to prune for two hours and almost causing serious injury to my hands, I have to say this was a huge improvement to progress and efficiency. I was able to not only keep pruning nonstop for hours without getting fatigued, but I was able to go way faster than I ever could by hand. Highly recommend any powered tool. So far this one has been strong and sturdy and I hope it will last for years to come.

I bought the Makita style shears and couldn't be more pleased. They cut effortlessly through 1 inch branches and would bet a weeks wages they are made in the same building the name brand are. For 49 bucks you can't go wrong. The branch counter is kind of lame, just as if my drill had a hole counter.

I own a vineyard and do a lot of pruning, not to mention I have22 fruit trees! I was skeptical that electric pruners would be useful and productive. Was I wrong?! I ordered the less expensive Yawv pruner ($47) that was less than 1/3 the cost of the Dewalt version at $150 to try-out the concept compared to hand pruners. It is far easier and faster to trigger the electric pruner with your index finger than exercise your entire hand with hand pruners. I ordered two more as a result. To be honest I received two defective units. I contacted Yawv with low expectations. They admitted that they had a bad production run as others complained about the same thing. They immediately shipped two replacements that are working as reliably as the first one. Hey, problems happen. The question is does the company stand behind their products. I can assure you that Yawv acted quickly and they had two replacements to me within the week. What more could I ask? I endorse Yawv.

These work very good for pruning my fruit trees. But you have to pay attention, because I would hate to get a finger in the wrong place. So far so good, they are perfect for my arthritic hands.

The pruner power switch doesn't work and the seller won't issue a refund.
