Although I had 2 previous post lights, the light emitted was a 5000k white and I wanted to have a warmer light to match my railing lights. These lights emit a warm light that has a low to medium level of brightness. I do not need bright light. The edison light bulb is a good looking bulb that also happens to match my overhanging lights. All the parts of the post lights is plastic. Although the light looks fairly good i am uncertain to its UV resistance and hence its durability. What I do like is that it has adapters that allow it to fit 4x4 and up to a 5.5 x 5.5. There is an inner ring that you can take out to allow it to fit a 5.5x5.5 post. It is a good fit and all you need to do is to put 2 screws into the lower ring.To activate the light you need to select the on button which is inside the upper lid. To access the inner lid, you basically just rotate the lid from the main body. There are tabs that lock into slots on the housing. Take your time in rotating these tabs as they do not appear to be robust. My more expensive lights also work the same way.Overall, these look good enough for any deck and emit a good looking warm white light. The price is very competitive.

I chose this two-pack of fence posts lights to replace a couple of the lights that my neighbour had put up when we rebuilt the fence. His lights had melted in the sunlight and in need of replacement. These lights, while not terribly high quality, are attractive enough and work well if you have different posts sizes as they come with a set of adapters to fit both vinyl and wood 4x4 and 6x6 posts. I really appreciate the replaceable battery as so many of these cheap solar accent lights sold on Amazon have an un-replaceable battery that eventually dies or won't hold a charge, meaning the whole light becomes e-waste.These lights are attractive but made of 100% plastic. What I didn't like were the spin-on nature of the components (the lid, the clear enclosure and the post adapters). They spin together with little tabs which work fine enough when new. However, lights of this plastic material get brittle over time with exposure to UV from the sun. When bumped or handled the little tabs can break, making the components unable to fit together properly or stay in place. If you prefer a budget light, these are decent for the price but I wouldn't put them too far above dollar-store quality.

I recently picked up these 2 Pack Solar Post Caps Lights, and let me tell you, I'm already dreaming of warmer days. Right now, we're at the end of winter, and my deck is buried under a blanket of snow. So, these lights are sitting pretty in their boxes, waiting for their time to shine. Now, even though I can't use them at the moment, I did get a chance to check them out and even test them briefly. These are designed to sit atop the posts of my backyard deck, and I've got plans for them come spring. What I really like about these lights is the Edison LED bulbs. They give off this warm, inviting glow that I can already imagine creating the perfect ambiance for those nice summer evenings. The two lighting modes are a nice touch, it mimics the look of real flame, adding a touch of romance and old-world charm to the deck.Being solar-powered is a huge plus in my book, no need to worry about wiring or electricity bills; just let the sun do its thing. The flip side, of course, is that they might not perform as well during cloudy stretches.I'm also impressed by how versatile these lights are, they fit both 4x4 and 6x6 posts, which is perfect because my deck has a mix. And the fact that they're waterproof, is a real selling point for me, considering how unpredictable the weather can be.I haven't had a chance to use them long-term yet, so I can't speak to their durability over time. And while I love the idea of solar power, I do wonder how they'll hold up during those long winter months when daylight is scarce.I'm genuinely excited to get these lights up and running, they're going to be the perfect addition to my outdoor space, adding both functionality and atmosphere to my deck.

This pack of 2 solar fence cap lights are awesome. First of all, they are really nice looking and sturdy. This isn't going to be something that gets ruined easily. Secondly, the light coming from it is awesome. I put these on my fence but you could put them on your deck too. They are waterproof so they can go just about anywhere outside. I want to get more to put some more out in my backyard!

These btfarm solar post cap lights turned out to be exactly what I needed. They come with two lighting modes—medium and high—and the warm white light they emit is perfect for creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere. In medium mode, they give off 15 lumens and last over 12 hours on a full charge, and in high mode, they emit 30 lumens for a bit more brightness, lasting over 10 hours. The lights come with 4 different sizes of removable bases, which makes them super versatile. They fit perfectly on my 4x4 posts and didn’t require any wiring—just mount the base, screw in the light, and you're good to go. The Edison bulbs are a nice touch too, giving off a vintage vibe, and the lights automatically turn on at night and off at dawn, which is super convenient. The material which feels solid, and the waterproof design means they can handle rain, snow, and the summer heat without any issues. Plus, they're solar-powered, so I don’t have to worry about changing batteries or plugging them in. These lights really add a nice touch to my outdoor space, and I’m happy with how they perform. If you want some hassle-free, stylish lighting for your yard, these are definitely worth considering!
