Anxiety & stress are two of the most widespread issues troubling today’s world.

Align Your Spine

Avoid stressing your lower back with perfect spine alignment. Sitting raised off the ground allows a perfect meditation position, even if you lack flexibility.

Whether you sit in a full-lotus position, half lotus, or simply with uncrossed legs resting on the ground… the Seat of Your Soul Meditation Cushion keeps your back alignment optimal.

Machine Washable & Organic

Best of both worlds… we use GOTS Certified Organic Cotton for their commitments to sustainability and workers well-being… without sacrificing wash-ability.

Unzip the cover & throw it in the cold water wash. It takes up minimal space so it can fit in with your regular laundry loads.

Keep a clean mind AND a clean conscience

Zen-Like Comfort

Many experienced meditators have a Yoga practice before or after… so they use it as a Yoga Cushion.

It can be a great way to get into an even deeper meditation. Try some of your favorite Yoga asanas using the Seat of Your Soul as a Yoga Cushion, then sit down for your meditative practice.

Large | Soft | Adjustable

The biggest complaints we’ve heard about other cushions are “too small, too hard, and not adjustable.”

We’ve listened to the feedback…

The height is easily adjustable by removing buckwheat filler. Open the zipper on the bottom and empty some into a container (in case you need it in the future.)

This sturdy little pillow allows me to sit very comfortably but also up a little bit higher giving me leverage when reaching around for materials while teaching and for being able to reach all my instruments during sound bath sessions.

This cushion is VERY firm. Even taking into account it is wing used for meditative purposes, I personally find it a little more uncomfortable than I’d like. With that being said, I’m pretty particular with my pillows. I have it 4 stars because it’s not a bedtime pillow and the bean shape perfectly aligns with my shoulders when lying down. I would recommend this product.

I'll update this after I've become more familiar with it, but I'd just like to add to the "no bugs" chorus so people aren't afraid to try these. I opened up both covers on mine and find no sign of critters. The 2017 issue was apparently a one-off problem with a supplier, according to other reviewers and at least one reply from the company on a review here. This is my first meditation cushion of any kind and it seems like a winner. I'd been improvising with a small pillow and realized I was paying more attention to my posture than to meditating. This seems likely to alleviate that distraction and the related aches and pains, and it's also just a nice way to have good posture while sitting on the floor for any other reason as well.More to come after I have had it for a while, but I definitely don't regret it so far.

I've meditated daily for about two years using a variety of things to support my butt including rolled blankets, a yoga support block, a martial arts focus mitt, and a round, buckwheat filled zafu. All have some pros and cons but I found none of them comfortable for over 15 minutes of sitting.I discussed the situation with my martial arts instructor and a good friend that teaches yoga. They both suggested a crescent shaped, buckwheat hull filled cushion. I chose the Seat of Your Soul brand because we use cushions from them in our training hall. It works wonderfully! I am finally able to pull my feet back far enough towards myself to get my knees comfortably on the floor. The problem, as confirmed by my martial arts instructor, wasn't my hip flexibility but the shape of the cushion I was using. I'm a happy sitter now!

This cushion is exactly as advertised--The buckwheat fill offers good support and the height was right for me at 6ft 1in sitting in the half lotus position. Note that the starting height will be appropriate for some but not others (it's highly dependent on your size, preferred posture, limb proportions, and baseline flexibility), but the advantage of buckwheat cushions is that you can remove some of the hulls to adjust the height until you find a comfortable position. If you do not feel comfortable initially, then please try removing hulls in small increments to see if a different height is more appropriate for you. Also try setting up more towards the front side of the cushion so that you are leaning forward slightly, as this will take some of the tension off your hip flexors.Furthermore, please note that some postural strain and discomfort during meditation is inevitable no matter what type of cushion you are using, especially as a new meditator. I've been using a buckwheat cushion for meditation for six years and have also been on two ten-day retreats in which I sat on that cushion for 11 hours per day. I've learned over time that you will never be completely comfortable throughout a 1-2 hour session no matter what type of cushion you are using! That is an unrealistic expectation--our bodies are eventually going to experience some pain and tension when we sit still no matter what position we are in, so do not blame this on the cushion! In my opinion, this cushion will work very well for the majority of beginners.

I bought this for casual floor sitting since our new luxury couches were killing my back. Since I hit about 16 weeks pregnant my lower back and hips would just ache and make me hobble each time I'd sit too long. I did some research after finding how much nicer the floor was for me, and found meditation pillows to be what I needed. This one is super well made and my rear fits on the Cresent shape perfectly. The dark brown color looks great on our dark leather furniture as I dislike leaving it on the floor when not in use. They weren't stingy with the buckwheat so once the fabric loosens and gives a bit it'll be even more comfortable. It gets my back straight, keeps me up on my sitz bones and my legs take much longer to fall asleep. I'll try lounging on our couch and inevitably end up grabbing my pillow and sitting on the floor. The looks I get when we have guests is a riot. I looked into making my own zafu as I do tailoring and quilting, but after pricing the buckwheat alone, I honestly have no idea how they are making any profit on these. I gladly handed then my money and in 2 days with no sewing required was sitting on my new wonderful zafu. And I'd do it again!
