False advertising at its best. No range at all. Waste of money. Needed them for safety reasons and they are not going to come close to doing that. Also bedridden and canโt go twenty miles to return them. Should be picked up

Good pair of walkie talkie, very nice quality, great sound, havenโt tried the distance yet, but for sure it is great to walk about and aroundโฆ.. keep in mind the LPX 550 model that I have, it has 60 channel not 40 as it says on the website which I have informed the company about it to fix (they didnโt corrected it yet) it takes only 2.5mm single pin earpiece jack, not 3.5mm.

Love these radios! Everything we needed. Bushnell scored on this one!

Good, solid walkie talkie. They hold their charge well, and Iโve been able to get a good 3ish hours out of a charge. Their range seems to be limited in canyons. I can get at best 200 meters.

We tested ours immediately after they were delivered (LPX550) They reached out atleast 5 miles in a small desert mountain range near our home. This is an area with mountains and lots of rocks where people rock crawl with jeeps and stuff like that. Inside 2 miles everything was loud and clear. Past 3 miles we got a little bit of static and cut out when we drove across low points where rain water washes between the mountains. But immediately connects as soon as we start driving back up hill even just a few yards. Past 3-4 miles it's a little bit fuzzy but still reliable and sounded decent. We turned back at 5 miles, so they may go even farther than that! I understand that these things never go as far as advertised, but I purchased them knowing I'd be happy with atleast 3-4 miles in Forrest land for deer hunting.I personally think they're sufficient for realistic walkie talkie use where people are too far apart to see or hear each other like off roading, ranching, orchard work etc... they're sufficient for deer hunting if your working an area in teams on foot, just don't expect it to reach clear across a whole game unit.Maybe I got a good set or maybe some other people got a lemon, who knows.I'd buy it again for 44 dollars. They're about what you'd expect without paying an arm and a leg. I've always had good luck with Bushnell products being a good value for the money. Very easy to use without even reading the instructions.

Most people writing these reviews have no idea what theyโre talking about. No radio (even those over 400 dollars per unit) will transmit more than 1 or 2 km (not miles) in mountainous terrain. Same with cities. Even on a complete plain, you will not get the advertised 22 miles, things like temperature and humidity decrease range. You can comfortably expect any radio to operate 5-6km (4 miles) on a flat terrain. These radios are great for the price. Theyโre well made, and have plenty of features. These people complaining that they โdropped it in the sea and it doesnโt workโ should also read that it has an IPX2 rating, a simple google search renders the meaning of this. Itโs not difficult to be competent.

Range isn't great but good enough for my needs.Of course no units will be without going to a wattage requiring a license so as expected. Seem to be built well. Simple to manage the settings. The speaker on one unit was quite quiet however the case seals very tight and removing the headphone rubber plug fixed that. Elevation change had caused a pressure build up in the case which restricted the speaker movement. Haha. All good. The plug on the other had been left adjar so no issue.

42 miles I think is only in outer space. I tested them at about 1/2 mile with regular rural stuff in between but nothing big. Would not transmit that far!!!

they work great, light is useful, belt clip is good. but I only get like 1/2 mile in a suburban setting. they feel durable but the antennae isn't that great.

Range is great for what Iโm using it for. Tried them out driving around and they worked good about 6-7 city blocks apart then could hear some static. I like that you have a choice of either reg batteries or rechargeable. Easy to use and good quality.

These radios check off ALL the boxes for me! INCREDIBLE range, ultra-clear reception, excellent battery life, and a rugged and durable design profile. A buddy of mine brought them on a camping trip and I really liked them so I decided to purchase a set for myself. I really like that they are water resistant. I have what Iโve been told are โlarger handsโ, so the placement of โCALLโ button really works for me. Really pleased with this product!!
