Should have bought this years ago!Pros:-It works-Fired right up, as set from factory, and required minimal tuning to get running perfectCons:-Gasket that goes on the back side of the carb is poorly cut and partially blocks the impulse hole. I ended up reusing the original gasket instead-Carb faces are not machined and left with a cast finish. (doesn't seem to affect the operation, but would have been nice to see a machined face)-Fuel lines are different sizing from original. (not the end of the world)Conclusion: If you have tried cleaning/adjusting your original and still can't seem to get it running consistently, don't hesitate to buy this! At the end of the day it works, and quite well! I wish I would have bought this carb a few years ago, as the old carb I'd get running good, and a week later would need to readjust everything again. I've used this carb 4 times already and it runs the same every time. Perfect! Adjusted it slightly out of the box and haven't had to touch it since. Puts a smile on my face now that my weed eater runs like new again.

We had bought this trimmer over 15 years ago at Home Depot for like $70. Two years ago it stopped working. After much tinkering and testing since last summer, I found out the fuel lines had deteriorated and broke. But, later I found the carburetor was not working properly either even after I dismantled it and cleaned it. So, I opted to buy this kit which included a new carburetor, fuel bulbs, gas filter, gas tube and the tool to adjust the carburetor screws We didn't even have the tool from the original manufacturer when we bought it new. With a kit, I was able to troubleshoot various parts to see where the problems were.The tool to adjust the carburetor is a necessity to ensure you have the proper flow of air and fuel. After adjusting it while it was running I found the optimal settings. It is like new and powerful.
