Very small anode rod size. About 0.5" diameter. normally the anode rod is around 3/4". It has around half the metal in it. It will still work but I will have to change it in 3-4 years instead of 7-8 years. I never saw anywhere in description that anode was smaller than normal. Quality of the product looks very good but just be aware of the size

Perfect size for my 50 us gal hot water tank. Has a four inch nipple to better to get a hold of, rather than a wimpy one that is oem. Install was a snap.

the neck is an inch longer than bfw origin and the metal rod is shorter, but it works anyway.

Works great for me fit a Bradford 40g electric water heater. The top is longer then the old one but it gives you a spot for the pipe wrench. I have flex pipe going to my water heater so this was no problem for my installations.

So far so good. A little longer on the top than my original one, I knew when I bought it, just make sure you have the room or a flexable connector.

fast install needed one way check to reduce heat transfer. other then that works great.

Used this for an old hot water tank that needed in about 10 inches shorter than this one, so I cut it with a hacksaw and it works perfect.

It fits into the tank OK but didn't cure the water odor. It's better but not gone. I guess I have more of a problem than I thought. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the nipple on top is longer than what is picture and not the same as my water heater OEM part. According to the product description it should have fit my water heater. It didn't keep the plumbing for the hot side at the same height as the cold line

My Bradford White got 15 years of operation, I do not know if my previous owner did change the anode or not, I decide to replace with this new one. Needs a flexible connector (Sharkbite), copper tube cutter and tools to do the job. It is not so difficult, only problem on clearance, anode needs to be bent, but it easy to bend with two hands.

Perfect fit. Used to replace my old anode in my water heater that was 13 years old. The old one was almost gone to the wire. Now I have a water softener to control the hard water. This will be a good replacement to know its condition in the tank. Hot water heater should last a much longer time hopefully.

I've so many so called "experts" about this and some of them never even heard of the anode. This item is a necessary for all storage tank heaters and must be changed regularly. The item shown works as advertised and may just need to cut with a hack saw to fit your size tank. It installs onto the hot water nipple of the heater very easily. Also, its important to note that if you're using water softener on the main water line before the heater, this item must be replaced more often. Softening water actually makes it depreciate faster it seems.
