I actually ordered two of these, after the first one arrived incomplete.This light uses a decorative nut with a threaded center post in an outlet box. My first light was missing both the mounting bar, threaded post, and decorative nut.Amazon, to their credit, shipped another unit immediately. This one arrived complete, and I had little difficulty installing it- until I tried to add bulbs.As other reviewers have noted, a standard size A19 bulb will protrude from the unusually short frosted shades. I was prepared for that, and had ordered A15 LED bulbs for the unit. The shades must be mounted before one adds a bulb. While adding bulbs, one went smoothly- but the other socket actually began to turn with the bulb. Whatever is supposed to hold the socket firmly in place, did not, and their is no way to adjust the socket inside the fixture.It's really a shame, because I suspect that this fixture would have been ideal for my needs. But if a socket is going to come loose the very first time you try to add a bulb, the light is doomed to an early failure, with a twisting socket that you cannot remove a bulb from.In summary,the light is very attractive, but very poorly made.

This light fixture allows direction of light, and with the correct bulbs, provides a great deal of illumination. The problem is the TINY bulb covers; normal size bulbs extend well beyond these little covers. Finding LED bulbs with our desired lumens and temperature, AND in a small (short length) format was added difficulty.

Seems to be a good quality fixture with stylish glass lenses. It worked well for my use in a stairway area.
