We liked that you can store all you JPG photos on the hard drive and play them back in a slide/music show.

This seller is a scam and I was twice smitten by this seller. The orginal cs100 recieved never worked and relacement also did not work. This seller should be banned

Lent dans ses exécutions. C'est mieux d'acheter un disque dur externe pour le même prix. Pas moyen de renommée un album. NFC lent et connection ppas facile.

The unit came unsealed in the box. The batteries were corroded, it appears that the manual had already been read (it was unpacked). I believe I received a unit that was returned by another person. I attempted to exchange it for a new unit but after two e mails, I was directed to return it for a refund. I will be anxious to get another and try again.

This device has a lot of potential. But not all functions are implemented in full. Will be expecting next version!

Brilliant product by canon and sold by canon at promotional price. I found it very convenient to store images with no hassles of wires. Although transfer of images is bit slow but overall it's a magnificent piece of technology. Must buy....

You're better off with external hard drive, NFC connection works occasionally, importing images is the slowest ever, it's so complicated to create albums and move pictures around, it doesn't import pictures over wifi if the unit is already connected to a wifi network! Only one wifi connection is allowed at a time and NFC won't be able to establish a new wifi connection (it should be fine but the person who developed the software didn't do it well). Can't configure import workfow, can't configure weither to delete images after import dot dot dot. It's just an overpriced garbage believe me, you don't need it! Wondering how could the product manager push this item into the company's product lines! I like the idea of the product but it needs a lot of work before pushing it to the market. Don't buy it folks

Nice tool for organizing photos for people with little or no computer skills. Good for downloading photos/movies from Canon cameras. But I have challenges with movies taken with Sony RX100 and also transferring photo albums from iMac computer.

I bought this for $179.99, and I would not buy it again!I am very disappointed with it. I expected a lot more from Canon, a LOT MORE!Here is why:1. The NFC import didn't work at first, it eventually worked, but don't know why. It would give an error and not import pictures, and didn't provide further details.2. It forced me to do a firmware upgrade, it took a long time (1/2 Hr) and then it aborted! Second try it worked.3. Import of pictures via NFC or from an SD card takes a very long time! You can get it started and go have lunch.4. It can not be connected to a computer to be used as an external disc or USB drive, so forget about any kind of drag and drop functionality!5. Can not transfer pictures back to a computer, SD, or USB card!6. Acces can be done using a web browser only with very limited capabilities. For example, to upload pictures have to select one a time, max 6, and then upload! Again, no multiple select, and no more than 6 at a time! This is unbelievable!7. The slide show has only 1 type of transition, that's it.In conclusion, this with a monitor can be used as a nice digital frame of any size, but that's about it!!!In my humble opinion Canon has to rethink their approach for this type of device.

It's a great device for storing, backing up and viewing your photos. If you have a specific Canon camera, you can also transfer your photos wirelessly; however mine is not supported and I noticed that the SD card data transfer took way longer than it takes to transfer the same amount of content onto my computer... Overall, though, it's definitely worth the price, especially if you purchase it on sale like I did.

Complete piece of junk. The manual is basically incomprehensible. The only way that I could get transfer from my computer to work was by trial and error. The programming is unworthy of a student in a first course in computer programming. The file system has apparently not learned anything from DOS or later developments in file-using design. (Canon cameras incidentally are great, but not the associated programming.) To add insult to injury, the product failed after five uses.

I am a Canon EOS 6D DSLR owner and I bought three of this station. I travel often and try to stay in touch with my family by sharing beautiful photos that I took on the trip with this amazing little full frame DSLR. To share the photos on the road, I have to upload to CiG (canon’s photo share site) or Picassa, and they would have to go online to view my photos. It's not too bad... everyone does that. But once a while when I walked by our living room's big screen HDTV I was wondering if there were an easy way to project my photos during the trip to this HDTV sitting at home... we don’t watch TV as often anymore and it’s just sitting there doing nothing anyway. Well, this CS100 station does just that for me. So now when I am travelling, I am carrying this little CS100 station with me along with the 6D. When I return to hotel, I let CS100 take in all the photos from my 6D so I can enjoy watching these new photos in my hotel's HDTV… happily knowing that the other CS100 back home is quietly sync'ing up with my CS100 in the hotel so my family can see what I just saw in the hotel room... in superb DSLR high photo quality. These days, when I see how others share their photos with their love ones through smartphones... I almost feel like telling them what they are missing… I mean, watching a truly remarkable DSLR photo on a big screen is an awesome experience that the little screen on your iPhone simply cannot deliver or compete. The difference is day and night. After all, our life is larger than that little screen on your palm. The big screen makes my family feel as if they were there with me, and their eye looking at the beautiful sceneries through the 6D’s viewfinder just like my eye did. I am not here to criticize those who share photos through smartphone screen. At the end of the day, it’s about do you want to send a message, like a Facebook message or LINE message with a photo, or do you want to share a memory. That’s what this CS100 station can do. It reminds me why I bought a DSLR in the first place… 6D's photo on the HDTV is soooo much better than my iPhone's photo on the HDTV. My eyes couldn't tell much difference when comparing them on the iPhone's screen. CS100 also made me feel a little more unique and special than the rest of the folks down the street... sharing photos in a bland and conventional way (e.g., iphone to iphone). I showed it to my neighbors and they were all amazed.I placed a third CS100 in my parents' living room. They now turn on the TVs more often. My father asked me if this thing is so called “virtual reality”? I thought that was a cute question. But hey you never know. To many average non-techy folks, this thing is VR for them.. And maybe, just maybe, “VR Station” could be a more interesting name than “connect station” :-)
