tonal quality is fair it's just an external speaker no tonal or volume adjustment.

I've had speakers like this since the mid 80's. My original NEC cell phone had one for the car kit. Motorola sold these with their mobile radios since the late 80's. Every time I need a good sounding radio speaker, this model type is my first choice.This one is no different. Sound quality is excellent, the output is loud and clear.Works for me.

This speaker works very well with the intended radios. This is well made and has good sound quality. I did try this on other handheld radios but they didn't seem to have the power to drive the speaker. This comes with the mounting bracket and screws. Good speaker for the money.
