These work well and they are high quality. They are a bit pricey at ~$6 ea, but they do their job and they work well. Would recommend that you buy them if you need a carabiner this big, but if you do not need a 5.5" biner save a few bucks and get 4" ones.

This is a large and heavy duty clip and feels strong and durable. I go these for my boys to use for clipping large jet sleds to their 4-wheelers to haul things around the farm. The large size makes it easy to clip onto the racks. We also use these around the farm frequently for gate clips for extra securing.The only complaint I had with these is the pin used to secure the jaw has some slack, so the clip does not always latch without a small wiggle. For the intended use, this is not an issue, but if I were to use it on a gate, I would quickly be frustrated as having to jiggle it frequently would be annoying.Otherwise, these are very thick, heavy, and solid feeling. For the money they are definitely worthwhile. If it is for something you will be clipping and unclipping frequently, you may want to find a slightly higher quality for a no fuss one handed clip.

I needed a new carabiner for my keys and did not read the description well enough before ordering. This is a LARGE heavy duty carabiner! It is WAY too big to carry on my belt loop with keys. Photo is of a comparision of my current carabiner for comparison. That being said, it's a high quality heavy duty carabiner! The spring feels like it will last. There's no lock on it, so it's not meant for climbing, but you could definitely hold some rope in storage with this. I'm still figuring out what I will use it for. It seems heavy duty and high quality, so useful for something, just not my keys!

Well-machined carabiners for heavy-duty uses. I photographed the carabiner next to a standard lock to show its thickness. It has a firm spring hinge with a notch to help it close accurately. Has some heft at 8.5 ounces.
