Its a cable, plug it in and away you go. Job done. But not really, my son has a cabled connection and was recently noticing his speeds were slower than they should be, something that's been happening over the past few months. We raised that our current cables were at least 9 years old and were rated at CAT4e!!Bought these as direct replacements and the effect was instantly noticeable. Three consecutive speed tests from ookla were all consistent in their reporting (new server locations chosen each time), his download of a 100+Gb game file from Steam seemed to be lightning quick in his comparison to last week.I've asked him to monitor his speeds at different usage eg gaming, video conferencing, social media etc. and to let me know. But so far so good.Tomorrow I'll be connecting my Mac and console to see how they function. my speeds there were good enough for me, but am curious to see how they improve, if at all.Definitely recommend, excellent product, and if they last 5 years let alone 9 I'll be happy.

Replaced old cat5 cable, speed improved, no problem with the cable or connectors. Being a flat cable really helped with going under a door. Worked out very well for me.

I was running a 50 foot Cat5e cable from my Shaw modem to my laptop for work. We pay for Shaw 600, but internet speed tests were showing 300 Mbps. Shaw recommended that we try upgrading our cable to see if that makes a difference. After researching the different categories of cable, we went with this Cat7 since it seemed to be a good value, and the flat design would work well since we run it under some rugs. My internet speed increased from 300 Mbps to 480 Mbps over 50 feet. So far, the cable has been doing its job well.

Wow, it is so nice to need something, order it on Amazon.ca, have it in your hands within 24 hours, and have it work amazingly well right out of the box! This comes nicely coiled with several velcro cable management straps, and a package of clips for wall routing. At 100' / 30m I was concerned about potential latency or signal decay - NOT an issue! The first thing you do is test the cable with a local jack - my laptop immediately picked up the network at 1 Gbps. Happy days. Then I routed up a floor and down a hallway to my son's computer - he is doing online classes during the pandemic and the WiFi kept dropping on him - and connected this into a 3 Gbps special high speed port on my switch. His PC network card supports this version of 3 Gbps, but it all comes down to the cable, and this one rocks. He's getting 3 Gbps and as he yelped, "Lag free gaming!" - although his real bottleneck is the ISP speed now. File transfers from his PC to the NAS (also on 3 Gbps) are INSANELY fast. The flat aspect makes it easy to route, tack, go under doors and behind shelves.I'm not providing a picture because it is exactly as they show in the ad. Good price, excellent value and quality, and I will likely pick up another one, because 30m of high-speed cable is very, very handy to have around.
