I was looking for mods to do on my little Vox VT20X on google and came across a review from Kevin Andrews on this speaker, that he had installed in the same amp as me and he seemed blown away by this mod. 40€ later, I'm happy I took the chance and bought the speaker! It definitely sounds different from the original (as it should, at least from being a diferent impedance and wattage). But it sounds harmonious... and nuanced. The tone changed so I'm getting used to the new sounds but it's like the sound is refined. And like the speaker is now more sensible to the sounds that are trying to get out and sounds just last longer.I recommend it to everyone trying to change/improve the sound in their little amps and give them a new life.

Bought this as a replacement for a blown speaker in my smaller guitar amp. It sounds good. Worth the price.

I was so excited when I received my Celestion speaker. Opening my Orange PPC108 cabinet was a little tricky, and the hardest part of the swapping process. Removing the old speaker and installing the new one was supereasy. The look of the original speaker (voice of the people) was similar to my surprise, but the weight of celestion one and the size of the magnet was significantly higger on the Eight 15.Soundwise, the celestion speaker is cleaner (when playing clean), with stronger bass and in general sounds better. I have also played with distortion, and it also sounds superb.I strongly recommend this upgrade to anyone with a orange 8inch cabinet, or in general anyone with a 8inch speaker amp.

I wanted a small practice amp with a similar sound to my EVH 50w 1x12 5150, so i used this speaker in a little custom built 8" cab running a Hotone Vulcan Five-O 5w amp, and it sounds far better than i was expecting, and is able to give the great crisp sounding highs and mids that I love about my EVH, but still has a decent amount of low end, and is plenty loud enough to use at home.

Not a full five star review, because I don't have much to compare it to, and the sound may change after it gets broken in. At first, the speaker sounded very odd compared to my older amp/speaker combos. It kind of sounds honky, and like it's in a tin can. After turning my small tube amp almost to full, I thought the speaker sounded pretty good, but in it's own way. I'm looking forward to seeing if it changes after break in.

I used this Celestion to replace the factory speaker in my Fender G-Dec 15 watt amplifier. It did not turn imy amp into a monster amplifier because it's still a 15 watt amp after all. BUT it did make an improvement that I appreciate! I love that amp for a variety of reasons and the sound from that upgraded speaker is main.

I bought this to replace the stock speaker in my little Fender Mustang v2 amp, which was very thin and "quacky" sounding. This new speaker solves that for me. Construction looked almost identical to the stock speaker but sounded much fuller.

I've owned a 15 Watt Crate Taxi guitar amp for four years. I have always loved the portability, the dual inputs [mic & guitar], and the play-anywhere battery power. I accepted the tone as a reasonable trade-off for the other desirable features. Then I stumbled across this Celestion speaker and decided to give it a try. It transformed the Crate amp. Added beef and roundness to the bottom end, and clarity to the mids and highs. Could not be more pleased.Interesting side note. The OEM speaker in the Crate was a 4 ohm speaker; the Celestion replacement is an 8 ohm speaker. In theory, there should have been a noticeable drop in volume. I'm not sure if the Celestion is simply more efficient, but without another Taxi amp to do a side-by-side comparison, I can't detect any loss of volume. At any given wattage, Crate amps often punch above their weight when it comes to volume, so it may be that there is some loss, and I'm not really noticing that I'm cranking up the volume knob a bit more. Suffice it to say, there's volume to spare, even playing outdoors. Thanks to all the other reviewers, most of whom were pleased with this speaker. I'm happy to add my two cents, and hope it reassures other people who might be considering it as a replacement for an OEM speaker.
